Music Ministry

Musicians and singers with talent and a desire to doubly worship are always sought to help the congregation in worship.  Several music groups are now ministering at different masses, which enhances our spirit of worship.  Kim O’Connor at either 681-9002 or hymnhunter@hotmail.com

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is open to anyone interested in becoming a Catholic Christian, deepening their faith and understanding of the Church and receiving the Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation or Matrimony.  Members are introduced to church doctrine, life, liturgy and apostolic work.  A nurturing community of volunteers and sponsors are sought to help enrich the candidates on their journey of faith.  Mary Contreras

Religious Education

Children from preschool up to 8th grade may enroll in the OLV Religious Education program, which includes CCD for baptized children and RCIC for unbaptized children (English/Spanish).  The full-time Director of Religious Education (DRE) and volunteer staff teach and lead children in the development of ideals and values constant with Catholic Christianity.  They help to build the child’s sense of Christian community and prepare them for the reception of the Sacraments.  A slight tuition fee is requested.  Parents are required to participate.  Volunteers are actively sought to assist in the program as teachers and helpers.  Call the Parish Center for more information.  Kate Meyer and Emma Flores

Youth Ministry/RCIY

Young people of high school age may enroll in the Youth Group.  The full-time youth minister and volunteers assist teens to become aware of their role in the Church, to deepen their spirituality, discover their talents, and prepare them for confirmation.  Youth ministry encourages a community feeling with social liturgies, Bible study, retreats and ministry outreach.  Meetings are weekly.  Volunteers to assist are encouraged.  Call the Parish Center for more information.  Isabel Bolanos
